Festive fun at Cresta
December 21, 2017

So I’m staying home this festive season… I generally stay away from malls during the silly season, but for my last minute shopping I head to Cresta Centre. Besides being the closest shopping centre to me, they have some cool stuff going on this festive season.

From the 8th to the 24th of December, Cresta Shopping Centre has transformed into a festive wonderland with something fun stuff to entertain the family.

Magnum Pleasure Bar

I had such fun at the #MakeMyMagnumSA Pleasure Bar, a pop-up in the Cresta Food court! I got  to create your my own signature Magnum ice-cream. The hardest part was choosing which of the amazing toppings to indulge in. I eventually decided on most of them! My signature Magnum was covered in dark cholcoalte and topped with had caramel cashews, chilli, peanut-brittle, candy coated chocolate balls, pistachios and drizzled in milk cholcoate!! Decadent much?

Making my own festive Magnum!

Give the gift of reading

I just loved the Charitable Festive Tree – a giant tree bookshelf and reading corner that allows shoppers to donate new or pre-loved books that will be donated to a children’s home in the Cresta Community.  This “kindness corner” has made giving back easier for shoppers to give back to the community. If you’re short on books, donations by cash or credit card are also accepted to go towards books. They also host a children’s story telling time for kids daily during the festive season.   Reading times are at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm.

Free Gift Wrapping Service

FREE gift wrapping service

With all the festive shopping going on, who’s got time for gift-wrapping?  It’s so cool that the Cresta has gift wrapping booths around the centre, and best of all its FREE! Cheers to the festive gidt-wrapping elves!

Festive fun for kids

Keep the kiddos entertained in the family zone in the Banking court… kids festive craft activities, face painting and Santa photo opportunities wdaily available between 10:00 and 18:00.  Other enterainment on the cards includes ballet performances ballerinas and Nutcracker marching bands to add to the festive atmosphere!

The newly renovated centre all sparkly and bright!
