Where would I go?

Swartberg mountains, Karoo

This picture was taken in the Swartberg mountains in the Karoo.  I like the way it captures a moment, it makes me think about all the roads I’ve yet to travel.

Today is the last day of the BigBlogX competition, which got me thinking, where would I want to go if I had the chance to exchange lives, blogs and cultures with a blogger anywhere in the world for 10 days.

My list of  dream  travel destinations is long, and due to my passion for African travel, African destinations  rate highly.  I still have so much of Africa to explore. Its tough to choose when I want to go almost everywhere.  Not that I would have any choice in the matter, ultimately it would be up to the folks at Hosteling International to decide.

But if I had to choose right now where to go, these 3 destinations would be my pick:-

1.  Morocco – I haven’t travelled to North Africa yet, and Morocco has always fascinated me. Exploring the Roman ruins, riding a camel into the desert and souk shopping… its been a dream travel destination of mine for a while.

2. Rwanda – Since watching this video, and hearing my friends stories of their amazing gorilla encounters experience, I’ve been hooked. I would love to experience the culture of the country, the beaches of Lake Kivu, and visit the lush green tea and coffee plantations.

3. Berlin – I know its not in Africa, but its been my dream European destination for a while mainly because I have so many friends who are from there, that I’m overdue a visit, and that they’re always raving about how awesome it is. I can’t wait to experience the urban culture of Berlin, marvel at its street art and hang out with my buddies.
