Hey there Joburg readers, keen to explore Joburg with me?

Thanks to Hi-tec, I’ll be offering an exclusive cultural instawalk of inner city Joburg, called #WalkMyCity. I will be co-hosting co-host the walk with my friend Heather  (aka  2summers) – who also happens to me my favourite Joburg blogger).  The walk is on Saturday 14 October from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and Sat 11th Nov 2017 (10:00 – 12:30) starting and ending at Hangout Jozi in One Eloff Street.  There will be a social media competition with Hi-Tec sponsoring some cool prizes!

#WalkMy City with Hi-Tec

Heather and I love exploring the streets of Joburg to find hidden gems. On the walk, we will visit some of our newest finds  – from music and book stores, vintage clothing shops to street art, artists studios and secret rooftops.  If you love Joburg as much as we do, you’ll have a blast!

The walk is limited to 25 people and is almost sold out. Sign up here.

Both Heather and I are  passionate about inner city Joburg and love sharing our love of the city we call home. We both walk our city a lot – there is so much energy, and so many new cool things popping up all the time.  We went on a little reccie mission a few weeks back and had so much fun discovering some new secret spots.   Here are a few hints of the places we will visit…

Update:

Thanks to everyone who joined us on the walk and special thanks to Hi-Tec for sponsoring the epic prizes and the amazing Heather Mason for co-hosting. Here are a few of my favourite pics!

You’ll be forgiven for thinking that this space age looking interior is in one of the new office blocks in Sandton or Rosebank. Instead, it’s the inside of @benjaminwoollens, Johannesburg’s finest fabric house, situated in downtown Johannesburg. This was just one of the many gems discovered on a recent #walkmycity outing with @2summers, @mzansigirl and @hitec_sa. . #cityofjohannesburg #southafrica #agameoftones #bnw #downtown #urbanexploration #vscosouthafrica #southafricathroughmyeyes #canon #igersjozi #moodygrams #artofvisuals #canonphotography #jozigrams #exploreza #architecture_hunter #southafricagrams #wideangle #thisisjoburg #lookup #fatalframes #iheartjoburg #joburgcoza #rsa_urbex #bleachmyfilm #jj_architecture
