If there’s one reason to go to Decorex Joburg at Gallagher Estate this weekend, it should be to check out the South African Handmade Collection (SAHC). This has been my third visit to Decorex, and the quality of local Mzansi arts and craft on show at the SAHC has been excellent.
The awesome thing about the SAHC is that you are guarenteed the products featured are proudly Mzansi. No Fong Kong here! Check out some of my latest loot from SAHC.
If only I had more time (and an unlimited credit card), I would have come away with heaps more Mzansi bling.
Can’t wait to dig into my Awesome South Africa book, and share some of my learnings with you all. I’m totally in love with Zimele’s felted jewellery. The colours are so bright and the designs unique. Also the pink fingerless gloves, by Northern Cape wool crafters Flock are going to be useful in the Oppikoppi freeze.
If you’re stuck in Gauteng this weekend, do yourself a favour and visit the South African Handmade Collection at Decorex for some authentic Mzansi bling.
